Are you feeling the plant-powered goodness yet? Gulping 2 cups of leafy greens plus fresh fruit will give you the energy you didn’t know you had. We usually notice a healthy surge of energy 30 minutes after we drink a smoothie (once the fruit sugars and nutrients are absorbed into the body). That’s what we call a natural high!

This creamy, strawberry-packed smoothie was the talk of the town for Green Smoothie Challenge. The sweet mango pairs nicely with the strawberries to balance the insoluble fiber and adds the amazing cream factor.
- 2 cups spinach
- 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 2 cups strawberries *
- 1 cup chopped mango *
- Blend the spinach and almond milk until smooth.
- Add the strawberries and mango and blend again *
Fresh, ripe berries provide the most flavor, but frozen will work, too. We suggest putting frozen berries in a bowl over-night in the fridge to defrost the sweet juices before you blend them up.

Almond milk has great flavor, making it our go-to milk alternative. The key to getting store-bought almond milk is to make sure you buy the unsweetened version, which contains less sugar and additives.
