We are big believers in celebrating accomplishments with words of affirmation, special treats, and midday dance parties. So today, we would love for you to join us with this special lotta spinach!

DAILY INSPIRATION

“What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.”

This little gem is what got adults and kids hooked on green smoothies in the beginning! It’s full of iron, potassium, vitamin C, and antioxidants, just to name a few of the goodies.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups spinach
  • 2 oranges, peeled
  • ¾ cup of water
  • ¾ cup strawberries *
  • ¾ cup blueberries *
  • 1 banana *


Instructions

  1. Blend the spinach, oranges, and water until smooth.
  2. Add the strawberries, blueberries, and banana and blend again.

Advice: 

A handful of spinach is close to 1 cup measured out. To speed up the blending process, feel free to measure your spinach by the handful rather than using a measuring cup. That’s how we roll.
If fresh oranges are hard to come by (or time is of the essence), feel free to swap a whole orange for a ½ cup of orange juice. The best orange juices are those that are 100 percent organic, high in pulp, and not from concentrate.
